Masterpiece, London, 27 June-3 July 2019

It is with pleasure that we are, once again, exhibiting at Masterpiece, London.

The elegant architecture of Sir Christopher Wren’s late seventeenth-century Royal Hospital forms an appropriate backdrop for a fair that brings a rich and varied display of works of art to the banks of the Thames, overlooking Battersea Park.

We are planning our own stand around some of the objects included in our latest catalogue, which can be seen by clicking here.

Following last year’s monographic E.W. Godwin Furniture, this twenty-fourth edition of Furniture and Works of Art offers a variety of pieces from our current stock.

Included is a pair of early eighteenth-century daybeds from Raynham Hall, furniture for William Beckford and, from later in the nineteenth century works designed by Philip Webb, Ippolit Monighetti and William De Morgan.

Works of art, recently acquired and not included in our catalogue, will include a pair of tile panels by William De Morgan and a mirror by James Powell & Sons (see below).

If you are going to be in London later this month and would like to visit Masterpiece, do please let us know so that we can arrange to leave you entry tickets.

The fair runs from 27 June-3 July, with a private preview on 26 June.
