Notes
The model postdates Soane’s restoration of 1810-20 but differs in minor details from Soane’s façade.
A closely related model by Walter Edward Barry, dated 1832, is at Wrest Park; it was exhibited in London Stone at Kenwood, Hampstead, 2021-22. A Walter Edward Barry was Charles Barry’s father, but he died in 1805. Thanks to the Friends of Kenwood for drawing our attention to the Wrest Park model.
