Similar mounts on inkwells and other ceramics by Dalpayrat are sometimes attributed to Maurice Dufrène (1876-1955), however there is no supporting evidence. We are grateful to Paul Arthur for this information.
Comparable mounts are also found on an inkwell by Bigot in the collection of the Vejen Art Museum.
